Physical characteristics typical of Williams syndrome include starburst eye Pattern. Psalm 139:13-18
13 You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body
and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.
15 You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion,
as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.
16 You saw me before I was born.
Every day of my life was recorded in your book.
Every moment was laid out
before a single day had passed.
The idea for this story came about because I have a special needs son – I freaking love this kid – he is funny and quirky and awesomellent (a word he made up) – In my dream he was cured of his genetic disorder (Williams Syndrome) – It was an awesome dream as it was happening – seeing my sons face and body evolve into that of a normal 13 year old boy (in real life he looks 6 and has many facial characteristics and issues that make him look special as well – he has the mental capacity of maybe a 5 year old and loves Barney, Chuck E Cheese etc.) – So when I awoke, I was faced with the question - What would I do if given the chance? Williams syndrome kids are amazing in so many ways. Many are musically gifted, being able to play instruments, sing in 30 languages, but not be able to make change of a dollar. They also have what is called a cocktail party personality. For instance my son will ask great first questions that you don’t expect even a “normal” kid to ask – He always asks how my day at work was, but if I follow up with anything it doesn’t sink in – so I joke and say I had to kill an employee today and he gasps but moves on... 25 awesomellent chapters!
